Manly United’s ladies record their first win
MANLY United’s ladies recorded their first win of the season on Sunday, outclassing the Emerging Jets 2-0.
Skipper Bella Walker and young gun Remy Siemsen scored either side of the break at Lake Macquarie to get Gwynne Berry’s squad off the mark in 2016.
“It was a decent performance away from home, on another day we would have scored a few more goals,” the coach said.
“I’ll be honest, it wasn’t a great game, but we did what we set out to do.
“I remain convinced once everything gels for us we will be hard to beat.”
United take on promoted Marconi this Sunday, another fixture where they will fancy their chances.
