MUFC v Sydney United 58 FC preview
FORMER Manly United striker Chris Payne looms as the man the home side must contain in Saturday night’s clash with league leaders Sydney United 58 FC at Cromer Park.
The Reds have been in sparking form the first nine rounds, scoring goals for fun.
Payne has been prolific, especially from the penalty spot.
United keeper Dylan Mitchell is well aware of the quality of his ex team-mate.
“I’m not surprised to see ‘Payney’ banging in the goals, when he is in the mood, he is a quality player,” he said.
“No doubt he will be keen to put one past me, I will be happy if we keep him quiet.
“Panni Nikas is always a danger from set pieces, but we don’t fear them, our record against Sydney United has been great the past couple of years.
“I think it will be a fiery game, the boys are buzzing.”
Kick-off is 7pm.
