Manly United | Just one win away from Grand Final Appearance
MANLY United’s ladies are just one win away from a grand final appearance after beating Macarthur Rams 1-0 on Saturday at Cromer Park.
Kick-off in the elimination semi-final was delayed until just after 5pm, with a number of earlier games going to extra time and penalties.
It didn’t deter Gwynne Berry’s squad, with Ally Green the hero after scoring the winner in the first half.
“I thought it was a comfortable performance without being outstanding,” Berry said.
“Once we got the goal we were in the box seat, and our defence held firm.”
United will play North West Sydney Koalas next, who were beaten 3-2 by minor premiers Sydney University.
The date and venue are still to be advised by Football NSW.
It was also good news for Manly’s Reserve Grade ladies squad, who won their major semi-final on Sunday versus Sydney University 3-0 to move through to their decider.
