Manly United tame Tigers
Goals from Nikola Orgill and Remy Siemsen saw Manly United beat a stubborn Northern Tigers 2-1 on Sunday.
Chris Williams tinkered his starting XI at North Turramarra, and his team were made to work hard from the outset.
“It was a great hit-out before the semi-finals, they (Tigers) were motivated and organised,” the Manly coach said.
“We also managed to avoid any injuries, which is pleasing.”
Siemsen’s winner ensured she finished with the golden boot after finding the back of the net 22 times, a remarkable effort given she is only 17.
This weekend sees Manly, who finished second after 18 rounds, play league champions Macarthur Rams in the major semi-final at Lynwood Park.
The winner goes straight through to the grand final.
