Oughtred: “Opportunity to do something special”
Manly United defender Travis Oughtred has tipped midfielder Sash Macura to be the difference in Saturday night’s elimination semi-final versus Blacktown City FC at Lily Homes Stadium.
Macura was an integral player for Mark Crittenden before defecting to Cromer Park in the off-season.
“Sash is pumped, he wants to show his move to Manly was a good one,” Oughtred said.
“The boys are confident, apart from the APIA game a few weeks ago, our second half of the season has been great.
“We have an opportunity to do something special over the next few weeks.”
Oughtred also singled out Connor Evans and Daniel Araujo as Blacktown’s dangermen.
“Both of them are quality players, they like to get in between the lines,” he said.
“If we can limit their involvement we should go on and win.”
Dom Ferguson is out for Manly with a groin strain.
Scott Balderson moves into the middle with Nikola Taneski on the left.
Kick-off is 7pm.
