Cholakian departs Manly United
Experienced midfielder Brendan Cholakian’s time at Manly United has come to an end with the creative playmaker leaving Cromer Park following the end of the 2020 NPL season.
Cholakian spent eight seasons with Manly United, arriving in 2013, spent time as Captain of the Club and was a member of the first grade squad that claimed the 2017 NPL1 NSW Men’s Grand Final.
“Brendan has been an unbelievable player for Manly United over his eight years with the club and played a huge role in elevating the team and squad to the position it is now,” said Manly United CEO David Mason.
“He will be fondly remembered by his peers, coaches, staff and fans for what he achieved and the energy he brought to the team during his time at Manly United.
“Off the field, he helped drive a winning mentality that has rubbed off on many players coming into the squad.
“While Brendan won’t be wearing the Manly United shirt in 2021 he will always be welcome back at the football club and we wish him every success with his football and life away from the park.”
Cholakian said: “I have had an incredible time at Manly United Football Club and it will always hold a special place in my heart.”
“I have made some life long friends and created some special memories that I will cherish forever but all good things come to an end.
“It was an honour and a pleasure to play for Manly United but the time has come for me to take on a new challenge.
“I want to thank everyone who has played a part in making my time at Manly so enjoyable”
