Kristie Crawford Inducted as Manly United Life Member
Manly United Football Club would like to recognise Kristie Crawford’s many years of commitment, dedication and the incredible impact she has had on the club by inducting her as a Manly United Life Member.
Kristie is a true stalwart of Manly United. She followed in the footsteps of her father Alan, who played for Manly Warringah before Kristie kept the family tradition burning – many would say surpassing her Dad!
One of Kristie’s fondest memories is taking the Number 11 shirt for Manly United, which was her father’s number.
Kristie first played for Manly Warringah in the North Harbour competition in 1997 and combined rep duties on Friday night with playing for the CC Strikers in the MWFA competition until 2001.
She moved into senior football in 2002 (winning the Senior Players Player award as a 17-year-old in her first season) and has been with the Club through to her retirement in 2021, except for a one year break when she travelled overseas in 2009.
Kristie’s playing career is unrivalled in terms of longevity but she has contributed so much to the culture and environment off the field as well.
24 years in the Manly strip is a remarkable achievement and her legacy will now live on.
