Colin May Inducted as Manly United Life Member
Manly United Football Club would like to congratulate Colin May on being inducted as a Life Member of Manly United FC for his continuous commitment and influential role he played in developing the Manly United we see today.
Like many, Col started his football roles when his son started playing the game where he was a coach, manager and then committee member at the Kissing Point Football Club on the North Shore.
He then moved to the Ku-Ring-Gai Association and rep teams and worked his way up to become Team Manager of the Ku-Ring-Gai first grade rep team. He was afforded Life Membership of Kissing Point and Ku-Ring-Gai Association.
In 1991, Colin moved across to Cromer Park when he was part of the merger between Ku-Ring-Gai and Manly Warringah to form Manly North Shore United. Col accepted a position as joint Team Manger, which was one of the key parts of “uniting” both clubs. Three years later he became the sole First Grade Manager, a position Col held until 2004 when he took a well-deserved backward step.
To this day, Col still plays a part in helping on Matchday as a jacketed Club Official.
