Manly United Junior Signs with Sydney FC

Spotted by Sydney FC at the age of 15 when playing for Manly United, Aaron Gurd has just signed an Isuzu Ute A-League scholarship contract with Sydney FC for the 2022-23 season.

Gurd’s footballing career started right here on the Northern Beaches when he pulled on the Wakehurst FC jersey. However, it wasn’t long before he decided to take the next step and join Manly United.

Gurd’s talent was spotted by Sydney FC early on, and as sad as Manly United were to see him go Gurd could not resist the call the join the new Sydney FC academy in 2015.

Since then, Gurd has only grown his footballing career, this season playing in Sydney FC’s NPL team and clearly being noticed for his talent and hard work.

Excited to join his boyhood club as a full-time member of the squad Gurd will be looking to make the most out of his dream coming true.

Manly United cannot wait to see what Gurd achieves at the A-League level and will continue to cheer him on from Cromer Park.
