MEN’S PREVIEW: MANLY UNITED V ST GEORGE CITY
After a tough defeat on Sunday, our Men’s 1st Grade team return to Cromer Park for their third home game of the season.
This is the first time that Manly United have met St George City in 1st Grade and newly promoted City are on a three game win streak. City have a couple of familiar faces in their squad, with former Manly players Marley Peterson and Daniel Alessi appearing in every game for them so far.
There were dramatic scenes the last time Manly played at Cromer Park, with late goals from Harry McCarthy and Bruno Mendes earning a comeback win over Sydney FC Academy – those two will be key to making sure that United’s attack is firing on all cylinders.
At the back, Alen Aganovic was excellent on Sunday and he’ll once again be looking to lead things in defence.
For the U20 side, Marcus Lal could be one to watch for them after four goals in his last two games, while Hunter Elliott was another a strong performer on the weekend.
Our Boys Youth League sides are also playing at Cromer Park on Saturday, so this is a great chance to see your Manly United in action!
If you can’t get to Cromer Park for our Men’s 1st Grade clash, tune in on NPL.TV .
