MEN’S PREVIEW: MARCONI STALLIONS V MANLY UNITED
The Manly United Men’s team are on the hunt for their third win in a row! Next up is a Saturday night away game against Marconi Stallions.
The Stallions will be looking to bounce back from a run of form that has seen them pick up only one win in their last four games. Marconi and Manly are level on points heading into this game, so three points will see Manly jump ahead of their opponents on the ladder.
Spirits will be high for Manly after Saturday’s thrilling win, one in which they scored three goals for the first time this season. Two late goals proved to be the difference at Christie Park and head coach Patrick Zwaanswijk will be proud of his team after that strong finish.
Once again, Manly will look to dynamic attacking midfielder Seiya Kambayashi, who was a deserving Player of the Match award winner for Round 7. Bruno Mendes and Benjamin Koop will also be keen for more goals after finding the back of the net in our last game.
For our U20 side, victory on Saturday would be their fourth win in five games. We can expect a stern test as Marconi are leading the U20 competition, but Manly goalkeeper Jay Coates was solid last weekend and kept a clean sheet against NWS Spirit.
If you can’t get to Marconi Stadium for our Men’s 1st Grade clash, tune in on NPL.TV .
