GIVEN he is only 18, what Dejan Pandurevic could achieve in football is frightening.
The electric teenager has already lived the football life abroad, when he was part of the Nike Chance set up in the United Kingdom.
He has also penned a short term A-League contract with the Central Coast Mariners, and in recent weeks has been a chief reason behind Manly United’s improved form.
Pandurevic scored United’s first goal in the 5-1 win against Sydney Olympic last Sunday, running his opposition ragged at Belmore Sports Ground.
He does have ambitions to play in Europe, but has plenty of time on his side.
“It needs to be the right move, so I am weighing up my options,” Pandurevic said this week.
“I am really enjoying my time with Manly, (coach) Paul Dee likes to play expansive football.
“Obviously I was disappointed to be released by the Mariners, but that is part of the game – you deal with the setbacks and move on.”
In news which will please United fans, Pandurevic revealed he had the opportunity to join other state league clubs, but there was only ever going to be one destination – Cromer Park.
“I played my junior football with Manly, and have bought into the culture of the first grade team,” the Collaroy Plateau resident said.
“I think I can develop my game under Paul (Dee), and that is my focus.
“This squad is capable of causing some damage heading into the finals, it will be great to be a part of that.”
