Manly are United in their belief they can beat Blacktown City FC
Lining up against Blacktown City FC on their home turf at Lily Homes Stadium is a daunting prospect.
Mark Crittenden’s men have been a model of consistency the past few years, and have started 2018 in ominous fashion.
They lead the competition after four rounds, yet to taste defeat.
It is in stark contrast to Manly, whose premiership defence is finally beginning to take shape after beating Marconi 4-2 last start.
But rather than fear Blacktown City, United skipper Jamie Lobb welcomes the challenge.
“They are always well drilled and are flying at the moment, to have Danny Choi and (Mitch) Mallia on the bench tells the story,” he said.
“We took plenty out of confidence out of last week, Marconi at their place is not an easy place to get a result.
“At the moment we are still copping soft goals, if we can eradicate that we will give a good account of ourselves.”
Kick-off on Saturday night is 7pm.
