Brown Bros Skip Bins Supports Manly United Senior Women
Long time Manly United supporter Brown Bros Skip Bins has increased its support of women’s football by signing on as the Major Partner for the Manly United First Grade and Reserve Grade sides for the next two seasons.
Brown Bros Skip Bins, based in Mona Vale, has been a valued partner of Manly United for the last 10 years, supporting the Manly United girls teams as the program has grown in size and stature.
That partnership will not only expand but it will now continue for the next two seasons with Brown Bros extending its commitment to the U15 and U17 girls teams to now include the senior women’s sides (First Grade and Reserve Grade) for 2018 and 2019.
Brown Bros Skip Bins founder and owner Wayne Brown said: “We have been proud supporters of women’s football on the Northern Beaches for the last 10 years both at Manly United and grassroots level.
“During that time, we have supported the Manly United girls teams and this year we have decided to increase that support to sponsor the senior women’s teams, first and reserve grade.
“We have seen many of the girls who have been a part of those junior girls teams progress to become Manly United first grade players and we’re happy to not only expand our support but extend it until the end of the 2019 season.”
Manly United CEO David Mason applauded the commitment Brown Bros Skip Bins has made at a time when women’s football continues to grow.
“Brown Bros Skip Bins is an incredibly valued partner of Manly United and to have them not only expand but extend its commitment is a testament to their passion and support for women’s football,” Mason said.
“Women’s football continues to grow on the Northern Beaches with Manly United going into the 2018 NSW Premier League as defending Champions and more than 5,500 grassroots players registered for the local competition. Females now make up 30% of the MWFA’s 18,500 players.
“We would like to thank Wayne and Jane Brown and the team at Brown Bros. for their continued support and positive impact they are making on women’s football on the Northern Beaches.
“I strongly encourage the Manly United and broader northern beaches football community to support Brown Bros and get behind the people who get behind Manly United.”
The Manly United women take on the Illawarra Stingrays this Sunday (April 8) at Cromer Park with the U14s starting at 9.30am and matches running all day through to the first grade game at 4pm.
