Manly United preparing for war versus Spartans
Manly United should feel confident ahead of Sunday’s tussle with Blacktown Spartans.
In their three games on the road in 2018, they have been ruthless – 6-0 against Sutherland, 6-0 versus Bankstown and 3-2 against North West Koalas.
Ally Green is hoping for more of the same come 3pm at Blacktown Football Park.
“I think it will be a tough game, Spartans are only one spot below us on the table, but it is a venue where we have done well in previous years,” she said.
“I thought we were unlucky last weekend at home when we played Illawarra, we just didn’t convert our chances.
“Blacktown have a few ex and current W-League players, it is another good test for us.’
Ex Manly striker Sarah Yatim will be keen for a big showing.
The premiership-winning player left Cromer Park in the off-season to pursue elite opportunities in AFL, with the commute to football training for the Spartans geographically closer.
“We know what Sarah is capable of,” Green added.
Kick-off is 3pm.
